Categories
The MIXX Awards judges the best cases in different 5 categories: 'brand awareness', 'product launch', 'direct response', 'use of interactive media' and 'European campaigns'. The judges will also judge and reward three Achievement Awards, for which you cannot submit a case:
Brand Awareness/Positioning
  To impact awareness of the brand or what the brand stands for.
Product Launch
  To introduce a new product or service into the marketplace.
Direct Response
  To seek a direct response, such as sales, conversions, trials or purchase intent among others.
Best use of interactive media
(internet, mobile, iDTV, digital TXT, in-gaming, radio, social media,…)
  Campaign that integrates the best the different digital and interactive channels to achieve their goals.

These four categories are open to all Belgian agencies and advertisers. They include all actions related to interactive communication produced and spread in Belgium.
“Actions related to interactive communication” implies that the campaign needs to integrate at least one of the interactive channels (display, e-mail, Search Engine, SMS, content integration, newsletters, iDTV, etc.) or a combination of those.

The campaigns presented need to be composed of at least three different elements (e.g. two banners, such as leaderbord and skyscraper, and a website).

  A separate international MIXX Awards Jury judges the cases in following categories:
European campaign – Mixx Europe
  * Campaign that is spread in at least three European countries and falls into any of the "Core Categories" This category is open to each agency and advertiser regardless of their nationality.

Three MIXX Achievement Awards are selected by the Jury, nominations are therefore not accepted.
Lifetime Achievement
  To recognize an individual that has made monumental contributions to Interactive marketing and advertising during his career. Members of the IAB select the winner of the shortlist presented by the Efficiency Workgroup.
E-Advertiser of the Year
  To recognize a marketer or advertiser that stands above the rest in raising the bar for Interactive marketing and advertising. The Belgian Jury will select the winner of this category.
Agency of the Year
  To honor the agency that stands above the rest during the MIXX Awards. The Belgian Jury will select the winner of this category.
